Plant Textures and Screen Print with Nicola Henley

Course Overview

Screen print and mono print using plants, a very easy, versatile and effective print process.

We will introduce a variety of flora to create different textures through the screen as well as working into the prints with stencils. By working on the surface in layers of printed colour you will be able to create unique fabric either for artworks or function.

Clare, Ireland in 1991 to set up a studio and continue working on large scale Textile Art pieces. She is currently in Australia for a solo exhibition at Timeless Textiles, Newcastle. Her work is inspired by birds and their movement and the dynamics of their spacial relationship within the natural landscape. She aims to draw our attention to the delicate balance of nature and connections between ourselves and our environment.
