Linda Swinfield: Dwelling Series

Photo Lithography & recycled book pages attached to ready made laser cut forms with archival glue – Dwelling series: 2780 (prototype) is a unique print based object that attempts to express aspects of my transition from the Hunter to the Blue Mountains NSW in 2018. I have been “re-finding” my thread in a new city, region and also re-finding myself. The move has been quite healing and this work attempts to express multiple tangents of the move and my studio process.  Through my tree change I have encountered bush fires, floods and a pandemic. I have re-embraced my art practice and love my new home with all its extremes and extraordinary beauty.Images used in this work were photographed after the local bush fires at Blackheath in 2019.
