Eira Chidgey: Autumn Garden

Acrylic paint, salvaged textiles, cardboard, stitch.Mixed media and stitch on canvas – May 2020 was a time of loss in every sense of the word: My Mum, our home, our country. What followed was a year of sadness, anxiety and frustration.Tending to my mum’s beautiful garden brought calmness and peace. Slowly feelings of despair and helplessness turned to acceptance and hope. I had found my thread and followed it to gratitude. 22 x 22
