Musings, Margaret Adams
Margaret started experimenting with embroidering a few years ago after moving to Newcastle in 2007. This lead to other experiments in working with textiles, and in her works, you can see the trajectory of her practice as she moved through different stages using this medium.
Growing up,Margaret wanted to be an artist, but under the usual pressure she trained and worked as a teacher for many years. However, her urge to creativity did not fade, and after retiring from teaching she completed a Diploma In Fine Arts in 1997 at Kogarah TAFE. After completing this, she continued to undertake one -off art courses at Wollongong TAFE for the next 10 years.
