Kathryn Grushka: Hybrid assortment

Linen, cotton and silk threads, voile, stones.Embroided construction. – The mind is made up of hybrid feelings and stitching brings forth as ideas and concepts about life and the future. My works have evolved as an assortment of images made from experiences of the outside world and the inner world of feelings. When we recall memories made up of objects and actions, we re-create new hybrid feelings, new representational forms. My work takes me into the space of giving material form to these commingling images in my mind about sustainability and future life. 18x18x 14
