Artists from all over Australia and the world are vying for prize-money and selling their creative wares in the fourth Brooching the Subject exhibition, to be held at Newcastle’s Timeless Textiles, Australia’s only commercial textile gallery.

Following the success of the inaugural exhibition in 2016 and the following in 2018 and 2019, Brooching the Subject returns in 2020, with artists competing to win cash prizes, ranging from $120 to $460.

Artists have responded to the prompt to create a brooch with wonderfully diverse works that have been felted stitched, painted, sculpted, woven or crafted from found objects.

The Winner of the People’s Choice vote receives a $25 gift voucher.
