Over the summer of 2012, Timeless Textiles Gallery held a series of free community art workshops co-sponsored by the Make Your Place program, Newcastle City Council.

Beautiful textiles were created in the workshops and were used to decorate a large bird sculpture called Adelina who spread her wings on International Women’s Day, 2013. The proceeds from the auction of Adelina were donated to the Dongyu Gatsal Ling Nunnery established by Jetsumma Tenzin Palmo to support the continuing education of young women.
