BTS #8 Patterns: Group Show

Yes! You read that correctly – this is the 8th year of Timeless Textiles’ Annual Brooch Exhibition and Competition. We have always been excited about beautiful textile and fibre art brooches , but in the world of high fashion and celebrity , brooches are making a major comeback in 2024 … “Hello” magazine reported on 29 March 2024: “ Designers are getting creative, putting a modern twist on this timeless piece, and suddenly, brooches are the talk of the town again. “ So this year we are super excited to announce that “Brooching the Subject #8” will be bigger and better than ever and this year’s theme is “PATTERNS”

Textile and fibre artists and artisans are invited to interpret the theme “Patterns” in a wearable brooch and participate in “Brooching the Subject #8” Exhibition and Competition.

This is a non – juried exhibition and competition. All brooches must be for judging and for sale and must meet the size and materials criteria.

First, second and third prizes will be awarded by an independent judge.

18 October 2024 Entry form and fee ( $20 per brooch ) to be received by TT

1 November 2024 Image and information to be received by TT

8 November 2024 Brooches to be delivered to TT.

8 November 2024 Approval of labels by artists

27 November – 15 December 2024 Brooching the Subject #8 Exhibition

28 November Judging
