This rag bag has been created using Natural and turquoise cottons.

Nicole de Mestre is an environmental artist, whose art reflects a curious attachment to discarded materials and a significant frustration with the prolific waste of modern society.

Six tonnes of textiles and clothing contribute to landfill in Australia every ten minutes. In support of Australia’s recycling efforts, this tote bag has been crocheted from a variety of discarded fabrics and threads including sheets, tents, clothing, ribbons, wool and cotton.
