After India

Double faced cloak/jacket. – This jacket or cloak was inspired after a trip to the Calico Museum in Delhi, India. The inspirational piece was a very full pair of “harem type” pants but I adapted the idea to make a reversible and wearable jacket redolent of the wonderful colours and experiences of India. The edge frill is a dyed Japanes obi. The body is shibori dyed and the whole piece is embellished with braids from the early part of last century.
